  • Let your dreams take wings: Kitesurfing allows you to use the environment around you to move.

This isn’t your grandparents’ style of kite flying. Kitesurfing is the extreme version, in which flying a tethered object is only part of the fun.

The watersport combines elements of surfing, wakeboarding and paragliding into an addictive, extreme form.

Kite Fly Club Dubai aim to spread the joy of kitesurfing and teach others a unique way of enjoying open waters.

Xavier Sedaghat, founder and main instructor at Kite Fly Club Dubai, has years of experience as a paraglider, wakeboarder and high-altitude skier.

Yet, he finds kitesurfing to be a different animal which expands on conventional watersports and opens up new possibilities on the water.

“I think with the mix between surfing and kiting, you’re not just on the water, you’re also playing with the wind and the natural
environment around you, not just the water. You can fly, you can jump, you can surf,” Sedaghat said.

Soar: Beginners and advanced riders can have a blast at Kite Fly Club Dubai.

“Kitesurfing is a very natural sport in that you use the natural environment to move. You don’t need an engine. There’s no gasoline, there’s no pollution if you compare it to wakeboarding."

Kite Fly Club Dubai, located on Kite Beach behind Sunset Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road, offer lessons for those who have never taken up a watersport, all the way to advanced riders. As long as you can swim, their instructors will help you get the most out of your experience.

Kitesurfing is fairly safe as well in the UAE.

You can get started for as little as Dh250 for a semi-private lesson (two students, one instructor), or Dh350 for a single private lesson.
