Since opening four years ago, The Gramercy has become one of the most popular Gastro pubs in Dubai and given its prime location at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) near Sheikh Zayed Road, it makes for a great venue to watch the World Cup matches.
Open daily from 12:00 for guests aged 21 and over, the venue is a lot different from other bars in the UAE, according to Antoinette Breedt, general manager at The Gramercy.
She said: “It is a Gastro pub meaning we sell high-end beverages and dishes. Anyone who hasn’t been to The Gramercy will see a classic old style interior similar to New York setting. It’s very sophisticated, we offer great food and there is live music played until the start of Ramadan.”
Entry is free and there are three large projector screens, three 42 inch screens as well as one large screen behind the bar; meaning wherever you are seated you won’t miss the action.
Breedt said: “The attendance during the World Cup matches have been great. Right from the opening match, the venue has been always busy. The guests have really enjoyed the atmosphere as it has always been electric and lively, and they’ve been treated to some fantastic matches so far in the tournament.”
There is a wide selection of beverages to choose from, and if you’re feeling a bit peckish then why not order something from their menu? Guests will be able to choose from its extensive a la carte or bar food menus ranging from oysters, steaks, burgers, chicken wings as well as finger food.
With the earliest match not until 20:00, you can park your vehicle free of charge in the basement parking area at DIFC building after 17:00.
Breedt believes anyone who attends the matches will love their visit to The Gramercy given that it has attracted many people so far and is well-known in the UAE.
She said: “It’s the only bar at DIFC and it’s a perfect place to relax and watch the matches after work. It’s an upmarket pub with high quality food and beverages along with fantastic service. The atmosphere during the matches has been great and will continue to be so till the final on July 13.”
