  • Braun Strowman and Nicholas won the RAW Tag Team titles at WrestleMania, before relinquishing them the following night.

The Monster Among Men, Braun Strowman, has spoken of his excitement ahead of the Greatest Royal Rumble, getting his hands on the Universal Title, and his first impressions of Ronda Rousey.

Strowman will appear in the first-ever 50-man Royal Rumble in Jeddah, on April 27, and promises fans in Saudi Arabia an experience they will never forget.

“I am really, really, looking forward to it,” he said. “It’s another avenue for WWE to step out and show the world what we do, and that’s entertain.

“The fans over there have been able to watch us on TV and in the media but there is nothing like coming to a live WWE event. They are going to see all their favourite superstars, past and present, who are going to be there for this, all the titles are going to be on the line, and the 50-man Royal Rumble – it’s going to be one unbelievable show.

“I think the fans are going to be very happy with this deal we are moving forward with.”

Strowman hit the headlines last week at WrestleMania we he picked out a 10-year-old boy, Nicholas, from the New Orleans crowd to partner him to tag-team glory against The Bar. It’s an experience he is still getting over himself.

“I’m still buzzing off of it,” he said. “It was unbelievable to have nearly 79,000 people on their feet going crazy during that match and to be able to share it with a young man like that, it was awesome.

“It was unbelievable and words can’t really describe how cool it actually was to be out there, and the energy of the WWE universe inside the Superdome was unreal.”

As for his plans for next year’s WrestleMania: “I am going to do everything in my power to fight tooth and nail to be in the main event for the Universal Title at WrestleMania next year, without a doubt.”

Strowman also spoke of how impressed he has been with the work of Ronda Rousey, and how her match alongside Kurt Angle was his favourite at this year’s Show of Shows.

“Sitting in the back, watching as a fan, I really enjoyed the mixed-tag between Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey against Triple H and Stephanie,” he said. “They put on a pretty amazing show out there. That was the match that caught my attention the most.

“I was very impressed with Ronda’s debut. She looked like she’d been doing this for the last 10 years. She was fluid, everything moved well and she is a great hand to add to the team here at WWE.”

Tonight sees the start of Superstar Shake-up with possible moves for talent between the RAW and Smackdown brands.

Strowman hopes he is remaining in the RAW camp as he chases championship glory in a division that is loaded with high-calibre opposition in the form of Brock Lesnar, and Roman Reigns, along with the returning Samoa Joe and Bobby Lashley.

“I really want to stay on the red side and go ahead and Get These Hands on that Universal title.

“There’s a lot of heavy hitters coming out. I’m looking forward to it. Lashley is a pretty tough individual from what I’ve heard and what I’ve seen – I haven’t been around him that much but I look forward to getting in there and dancing with him as well. It’s going to be an exciting time with some big names all chasing after the one prize – we are going to see who’s the man, and who’s the monster enough to take it.”
