Saudi Arabian WWE superstar Mansoor is in for the “shock of his life” when he returns to Riyadh this week – says the man who will take him on at Crown Jewel.
Cesaro will battle Mansoor at the King Fahd International Stadium in one of the night’s biggest matches.
Mansoor shot to fame earlier this year when he defeated a plethora of WWE superstars at the biggest Battle Royal in history at Super ShowDown in Jeddah.
But now he returns to the Kingdom in singles action against one of WWE’s most seasoned campaigners.
“Mansoor has come a long way in WWE and has really made a name for himself,” said Cesaro. “It will be an emotional occasion for him with all his home town fans and family and friends in the audience.”
Mansoor carries the flag for his nation, and also stands as a role model for aspiring WWE superstars in Saudi Arabia. Cesaro has felt those same pressures as a European wrestler making it in the US, being an inspiration for millions on the other side of the Atlantic.
Now he sees his role in the ring as something of a gatekeeper, and is keen to test Mansoor’s credentials come Thursday night.
“I don’t expect many cheers but that is just fine by me. I am the man that superstars like to test themselves against and Mansoor is in for the challenge of his career this Thursday. Has this come to early in his career? I have to say that there is no way he will be prepared for the challenge of taking me on. I can’t wait for Crown Jewel to arrive.”
