Women's winners in the 2016 BWF Superseries

The BWF World Superseries, launched in 2007, is a 12-tournament series in which the world’s best badminton players lock horns to reach the top eight in the Destination Dubai rankings and claim a place at the Dubai World Superseries finals showdown in December.

Held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown Prince of Dubai and the chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, The Dubai World Superseries returns to The Hamdan sports complex in December 2016 for the ultimate showdown.

Women’s Champion – Nozomi Okuhara (Japan)

Runner-up – Wang Shixian (China)

Nozomi Okuhara got the better of Wang Shixian (21-11, 16-21, 21-19) in a three-set thriller in 99 minutes of fierce action.

Women’s Champion – Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand)

Runners-up – Li Xuerui (China)

Ratchanok  defeated former India Open champion, Li Xuerui, in a dazzling display of power, precision and craft (21-17, 21-18) in 42 minutes.
