After his knocks of 167 and 81 at Visakhapatnam in the second Test against England, Indian Test captain Virat Kohli has climbed up 10 places on the latest ICC Test Rankings for Batsmen. The 28-year-old is now ranked fourth, with a career-best rating of 822 points.
With Kohli’s ascend, the top four places are held by cricketers who have often been referred to as the ‘fab four’ batsmen of this generation. Australia’s Steve Smith is first, followed by England’s Joe Root and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson in second and third respectively.
