Reaction after former world light-welterweight champion Amir Khan stopped Australia’s Billy Dib in their fight in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The fight was halted in the fourth round after a flurry of punches from Khan resulted in the towel being thrown in by Dib’s corner.
The Australian only took the fight at short notice after Khan’s original opponent, India’s Neeraj Goyat was injured in a car crash.
Khan won the WBC international welterweight belt as a result of his win – it was a quick return to the ring for the Briton after he lost in April to American Terence Crawford for the WBO full title.
