  • Brian Lara hopes the West Indies must use their plethora of T20 experience.

In the ’70s the West Indies were an unstoppable cricketing force, awash with aggressive fast bowlers and ruthless batsmen.

However over the past twenty years the once-fearsome Caribbean side have become a soft touch.

Legendary West Indies batsman Brian Lara feels that poor administration and “too much distraction” are to blame for the decline.

With the World Twenty20 around the corner, Lara also feels that with an experienced line-up and players of the calibre of Jason Holder to pick from, there is reason to be optimistic.
