Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix and the rest of Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad continued their preparations on Tuesday ahead of their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Serbia and Lithuania.
Santos’ side, who hosted and won the inaugural UEFA Nations League finals in June, have endured a difficult start to their Group B campaign – with two home draws against Ukraine and Serbia.
Those results have left Portugal in fourth place in the five-team Group B on two points – eight points behind Ukraine who have played two games more, and two points behind Luxembourg and Serbia.
The European champions now face potentially difficult trips to Serbia and Lithuania on September 7 and 10 respectively, and will need Ronaldo and Felix to find their goalscoring touch to kick-start Portugal’s qualifying campaign.
