  • Manchester City bounced back from their defeat against Wolves with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Sheffield United on Sunday.

In a tight contest at the Etihad stadium, Man City prevailed over Sheffield United through goals from stalwarts Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne.

Pep Guardiola’s men were made to work for the three points and they could have found themselves trailing at the break if not for VAR overruling Lys Mousset’s goal for a marginal off-side call.

The victory helped City avoid falling further behind Liverpool in the title race, although the Blues still trail by 13 points to Jurgen Klopp’s men.

It was a special victory for City boss Pep Guardiola, and it marked his 100th Premier League win as the club’s manager. The 134 matches taken by Guardiola to attain the feat is the least by any manager in Premier League history.

See what the Spaniard had to say about his record achievement in the video posted above.
