  • Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has described his side’s performance in the defeat 1-3 defeat to Manchester City as the ‘worst performance of the season’.

The win in the first-leg of the semi-final clash at Old Trafford gives Man City one foot in the Carabao Cup final with Man United in need of a big turnaround in the second-leg.

Goals from Bernardo Silva and Riyadh Mahrez put Pep Guardiola’s men in the early ascendancy on Tuesday before Andreas Pereira turned the ball into his own net to complete a disastrous first-half for the home side.

Marcus Rashford did pull one goal back for Manchester United in the second period but there wasn’t much else to celebrate about for Solskjaer’s men on the night.

See what the under-fire Man United boss had to say about his side’s shocking first-half display in the video posted above.
