Much-hyped Newcastle United youngster Yasin Ben El-Mhanni made his first-team debut during the Magpies’ 3-1 FA Cup victory over Birmingham City on Friday night.
The 21-year-old was playing as a street footballer in London less than a year ago, but has made his a remarkable rise up the ranks to dazzle for Newcastle United’s U-23 team.
El-Mhanni has earned a reputation as a fleet-footed winger with silky footwork, and has been bamboozling defenders ever since his move from London. The youngster has brought all of his street football skills to Newcastle, with a repertoire of flicks and tricks.
The youngster is known as a nutmeg specialist, and both his teammates and his U-23 opposition will be able to attest to that.
Newcastle have high hopes for El-Mhanni, and now that he’s gotten a taste of first-team action, Rafael Benitez could look to the youngster to keep the Magpies’ title charge going in the Championship.
If he does, Championship defenders are in for a torrid time.
