  • Rising teenage Juventus talent Moise Kean has been lauded by Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri after the striker came off the bench to score the winner as the Serie A champions in waiting beat Empoli 1-0 on Saturday.

Kean is the youngest player to score eight Serie A goals since Mario Balotelli accomplished the feat at the age of 18. The 19-year-old netted a brace for Juve earlier this month in a 4-1 win over Udinese and grabbed his third of the season on Saturday after replacing Blaise Matuidi.

Kean’s three Serie A goals this season have come from his first three shots and the Azzurri international has provided a real fillip for the Turin giants in the wake of injuries to forwards Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala.

Keane already has three caps for the senior national side and scored his first two goals in recent Euro 2020 qualifiers against Finland and Liechtenstein.

“He always has chances, even when he made his debut in the last 15 minutes against Young Boys at home he had like three chances,” said Allegri.

“This is one of his qualities, then obviously right now he’s doing well because he’s scoring, then there will be other moments where he won’t be able to score.

“That’s just part of his development, he’s only 19, and right now when he comes in he’s full of enthusiasm, and that’s important for the whole team.”

Juve are on course for a record-extending eighth straight Scudetto, moving 18 points ahead of second-placed Napoli with the Empoli win.
