  • England wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler has praised the team’s medical staff for doing an excellent job ahead of the second Test against South Africa which begins in Cape Town on Friday.

The tourists have been ravaged by illness since arriving in the country for the four match series. As many as 11 players have been struck by flu-like symptoms so far with several of them missing the first Test in Centurion as a result.

Buttler was one of the players who featured in the Boxing Day Test, but the right-hander had to spend an entire day away from the field after taking ill midway into the match.

The visitors were beaten by 107 runs in the first Test and find themselves trailing by 0-1 in the four-match series ahead of the Newlands clash.

See what Buttler had to say on the eve of the second Test in the video posted above.
