An emotional Kristina Mladenovic said that Fed Cup glory for France over Australia felt like ”revenge” after she and Caroline Garcia fell just short in the deciding rubber in the 2016 final against Czech Republic.
France captain, Julien Benneteau was in buoyant mood, also vowing to celebrate.
He later comforted Mladenovic at her court-side seat after the world number 40 broke down in tears.
