Chennai Super Kings suffered a third successive defeat in the 2020 Indian Premier League and remain rooted to the bottom of the table.
Young guns Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma were at the forefront as Sunrisers Hyderabad notched up a seven-run win over MS Dhoni and his men in Dubai.
Hyderabad were struggling at one stage at 69-4 before Garg and Sharma turned the tide with the bat. Garg’s unbeaten 51 helped the Sunrisers ultimately post a challenging total of 164-5.
In response, Chennai had a disastrous start of their own with Shane Watson failing to fire once again for the Men in Yellow. MS Dhoni and Ravindrja Jadeja did perform a rescue act for the three-time champions, but it wasn’t enough to take the side across the finish line.
Rashid Khan was key with the ball for SRH, with the Afghan star conceding only 12 runs from his quota of four overs.
