Rahul Tewatia helped Rajasthan Royals pull off another improbable chase, with Sunrisers Hyderabad being stunned at the death in Dubai.

Rajasthan looked dead and buried in their chase of 159 after losing their overseas trio of Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Steve Smith cheaply in the powerplay. However, Tewatia and youngster Riyan Parag changed the tide with a superb unbeaten stand of 85 to snatch victory with one delivery and five wickets to spare.

63 runs were scored off the last four overs by Rajasthan, as Sunrisers were made to rue some shoddy bowling at the death.

In the second clash of the day in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai Indians registered a similar five-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in a battle between the table-toppers.

Mumbai’s chase of 163 was far more comfortable than Rajasthan’s, with half-centuries from Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav setting up the win for the defending champions.

The win helped Mumbai move level on points alongside Delhi, although Rohit Sharma and his men are now top due to their superior net run-rate.
