Kaka claims that compatriot Neymar will be considered a failure in Brazil if he fails to lead his team to a World Cup title.
The former AC Milan midfielder feels that a superstar in Brazil is expected to win the most coveted prize in football and will be branded a failure despite doing everything else right if he is unable to bring the cup home.
“Always for Brazil we have this pressure. I think it’s the same for a big club but its also for the Brazil national team because we have won five World Cups, so everyone thinks about the World Cup. So, if you do a lot of good things for the national team but you don’t win a World Cup, maybe you’re a failure,” he said.
“We have two more years to prepare for the World Cup but I think he will be more mature than now. But everything that’s happening with Neymar is also because he’s a big guy. So everything that he does, every decision, is open to speculation.
“Everybody wants to give some advice or an opinion about his life. He’s just a 27-year-old guy, a lot of people of the same age make mistakes and improve with that. It’s easy for me at 37-years-old now to say something about a guy that’s 27.”
