Argentina international Mauro Icardi has guaranteed goals after joining French giants Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan deal from Italian club Inter Milan on Monday.
The 26-year-old had signed a two-year contract extension at Inter, but PSG have the option to make the move to the French capital permanent for a reported fee of 65 million euros.
Icardi scored 124 goals in 219 appearances over a six-year spell for Inter.
But he fell out favour with new head coach Antonio Conte and found increased competition for a starting place upfront for Inter, following the arrival of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United in August.
“I am a striker who likes to play in the area. I am a striker who scores goals,” Icardi said. “I have done it all my career. I am sure it will be even easier to score goals surrounded by so many great and players. ”
