Dubai Golf made a superb start in the inaugural IP Global Titans Cup Wednesday, registering a comprehensive 16.5-8.5 win in their away match against Troon Golf.
Two-time major champion Tony Jacklin, the most successful European captain in the history of the Ryder Cup, could not work his magic for Troon Golf, even though he won his own match against Dubai Golf captain Bernard Gallacher.
Jacklin added: “I thoroughly enjoyed the day. I had great company and we played on a fantastic course. I am disappointed our team lost. Maybe we will have to swap some of those boys in blue t-shirts with our red t-shirts in October.”
