  • The third leg of the duFC Football Champions group stages saw Michel Salgado and La Liga scouts check out the talent in Dubai.

Following stages in northern Emirates and Abu Dhabi, the former Real Madrid full-back witnessed over 2500 players take part in Dubai.

Salgado is the Championship Director of the du Football Champions which features the UAE Schools Cup and Streets Cups and offers a professional scouting platform to develop young players.

The tournament is the only international football scouting platform in partnership with La Liga.

Salgado commented on the Dubai talents saying, “Year on year we see kids from all walks of life coming out to duFC for the chance of being discovered and there are indeed great hidden talents across the UAE.

“In Dubai, after witnessing fantastic talent in the Northern Emirates and Abu Dhabi, my team and I have spotted players with great potential to play internationally, with the right training and commitment.

“The uniqueness of this platform is that the opportunity it presents to the youth is limitless, anyone can participate and everyone has an equal opportunity to be discovered.”
