Reaction from top seed Ashleigh Barty after the Australian fought back from a set down to reach her first title match at the WTA Finals on Saturday, beating second seed Karolina Pliskova 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in Shenzhen, China.
Barty recovered from a patchy start to seal her place in a Tour-leading sixth final of the season after an hour and 53 minutes on court.
The unfortunate Pliskova suffered a third-successive defeat in the last four at this event.
Barty will face the defending champion, Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina in Sunday’s final.
