  • Tottenham Hotspur players spoke to the media on Monday ahead of their UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool, which takes place at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on Saturday.

And Toby Alderweireld offered some more good news for Tottenham fans, as the Belgium centre-back said he remains committed to the club for next year.

Watch what Alderweireld had to say in the video above.

Spurs will compete in their first-ever Champions League final and it is the first all-English showpiece for Europe’s premier club competition since Manchester United defeated Chelsea on penalties in 2008.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side fought back to dramatically defeat Ajax in the semi-finals on the away goals rule, with Lucas Moura’s 96th minute second leg winner settling the tie.

Alderweireld is returning to a familiar city, having played for Atletico Madrid for one season in 2013/14 before joining Southampton on an initial loan.

The 30-year-old has gone from strength to strength ever since, forming a rock-solid partnership with fellow countryman Jan Vertonghen in London.
