Inter Milan head coach Antonio Conte said he is ‘not bothered by transfer rumours’ as speculation grows that Barcelona are interested in forward Lautaro Martinez.

The 22-year-old has quickly formed a fine partnership with summer signing Romelu Lukaku at the Nerazzuri, with both players hitting seven goals apiece.

Naturally the rumour mill has started churning over Martinez’s future and, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are about to make their interest concrete after identifying the Argentine as Luis Suarez’s heir.

However, Conte has moved to keep Martinez’s feat on the ground as the speculation continues to grow.

“He needs to keep working like he’s doing now, knowing that he can still improve,” said Conte, whose side are second in Serie A, one point behind Juventus.

“I’m not bothered by transfer rumours, there are so many rumours that it’s not really important. I have other concerns right now, and certainly it’s not that Barcelona or some other clubs are interested in one of our players.”
