MMA fans have long awaited a rematch full of bad blood between UFC stars Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, but they may need to wait a long time for the sequel… a very long time if Nurmagomedov has his way.

In what appeared to be a classic case of trash-talking, Nurmagomedov suggested to fans at a UFC Moscow pre-fight event that Irishman McGregor may have to fight as many as 10 more times before he earns the right to fight the current lightweight champ.

“I guess I won nine or 10 fights before I got a title fight. If he (McGregor) wins the next 10 fights a re-match will probably happen,” said the 31-year-old who defeated McGregor at UFC 229 in Las Vegas last October.

Nurmagomedov is in Moscow to support his cousin Abubakar who will be making his UFC debut there on Saturday.
