The life and times of Mean Gene Okerlund have been captured in a tribute video from the WWE.
Mean Gene was the voice, and backstage presence, for a generation of wrestling fans throughout the 80s and 90s, and was still going strong right up to his passing at the age of 76 last week.
A genius with mic in hand, Okerlund captured hearts around the world with his humour, wit, and fair helping of slapstick thrown in for good measure – adding verve and colour to everything he did.
Some of his best moments have been immortalised in the video package released on RAW this week to pay tribute to this legend of the industry.
