  • McClenaghan bowling proved to be the key as Mumbai Indians annihilated Sunrisers.

Even in his country, the Kiwi takes a back seat when it comes to the most popular Mitch Down Under. That honour belongs to the two Australian left-arm pace bowlers Johnson and Starc.

But McClenaghan is quickly creating a reputation for himself as a limitedover specialist, and his bowling proved to be the key as Mumbai Indians annihilated Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday in a must-win match.

Mumbai needed a quick dismissal of the swashbuckling David Warner, and not only did McClenaghan provide that breakthrough, he also took two more wickets, including that of Eoin Morgan, for stunning figures of 3-16 in his four overs.

This is the first season for the 28-year-old in the Indian Premier League, but be prepared to hear a lot more about him in the future.
