    Neymar will make his return from injury as a second-half substitute for Brazil when they play Croatia on Sunday, coach Tite has confirmed.

    The Paris St Germain forward, the world’s most expensive player, has been out injured since February 25 when he fractured a metatarsal and sprained his ankle in a Ligue 1 match against Marseille.

    Tite revealed his starting line-up for the friendly at Anfield on Sunday in his pre-match press conference on Saturday evening and said that Neymar, who underwent surgery on his injury, would be involved – but from the bench.

    Pakistan were 48 for three in their second innings, a deficit of 141 runs, at lunch on the third day of the second Test against England at Headingley today.

    Imam-ul-Haq was 16 not out and Test debutant Usman Salahuddin two not out, with James Anderson taking two wickets for 23 runs in five overs as England pressed for a series-levelling win.

    RUGBY

    Hooker Jordan Uelese is out of the Wallabies Test series against Ireland after suffering a suspected ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in the Melbourne Rebels’ win over the Blues in Auckland.

    While Uelese is out, back-rower Peter Samu has officially joined the squad after a release was agreed between rugby Australia and New Zealand rugby.

    The Melbourne-born flanker is now in contention to make his Test debut for the opener at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

    Warren Gatland praised Wales’ next generation of young talent after they held on to secure a dramatic 22-20 victory over South Africa at Washington’s RFK Stadium.
