At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Dubai Hawks were brilliant in registering an easy 120-run victory over Allmed.

In another quarter-final match, UBL got past NMC with similar ease, winning by 64 runs.

Put in to bat first, Dubai Hawks openers Fahad Tariq (29) and Ahmed Shoukat (19) provided a strong start, sharing a 48-run partnership in only 27 deliveries.

UAE international star Shaiman Anwar blasted three sixes and two boundaries for his 31 from only 14 balls before Shahzad Malik and Mohammad Usman took charge of proceedings, both scoring impressive half centuries.

Malik faced 33 deliveries and hit six sixes in his 70, while Usman remained unbeaten on 75 in only 32 balls with five fours and six sixes as Hawks amassed a terrific 254 for four in 20 overs.

Allmed were completely off track as they lost three wickets in the first 19 deliveries with just 17 runs on the board.

Rohit Singh waged a lone battle down the order with 31 runs and Tahir Latheef contributed 33 as they were all out for 139 in 19.2 overs. For the winners, Jamshed Ahmed and Ahmed Raza scalped three wickets each.

In the other match, UBL won the toss and posted 199 for six in 20 overs, thanks to Boota Mohammad’s unbeaten half century. His 69 not out came off just 39 deliveries, peppered with three boundaries and five sixes. Shahzad Mannad also showed a lot of aggression, firing a 19-ball 40.

Chasing a tough target, NMC slumped to 24-4 at one stage. Shahbaz Ahmed (51no) kept the chase alive but no other batsmen could stay for long or force quick runs as they finished on 135 for seven.

For the winners, Mohammad Naveed, Humayun Ashraf and Usman Saeed claimed two wickets each.
