With 48 hours to go before the Abu Dhabi Tour, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council have devised a final challenge for passionate cyclists in the region.
Based on “The Miss and Out”/”Devil Take the Hindmost” format, this race will have individual competitors or teams looking to shield their sprinter to test their limits of strength, speed, endurance as well as mental composure.
Cyclists in this race will need to clock a precise time to finish the lap, with this time reduced after every new lap. Riders must complete these laps as the clock is ticking or else face elimination. During the final lap, the remaining contestants in the peloton compete as though they were in an ordinary race.
Winners are the first, second and third (male or female) riders to cross the finish line.
