  • Ramos is expected to miss a month of action after sustaining a ligament strain during La Roja’s World Cup qualifying victory over Albania but the 30-year-old’s work to return to the pitch has begun in earnest.

Zinedine Zidane admitted his sadness that his main leader was on the sidelines, given his influence on the pitch and in the dressing room.

But Ramos is doing everything he can to return to the first-team fold sooner rather than later at the Bernabeu.

‘Back to work. Another day closer to my comeback,” the Real star said on Instagram, in a post which sees him cycling on one leg and completing a number of stringent core workout routines.

One thing is for sure from the video – Ramos’ commitment to the cause cannot be questioned.

When will Ramos be deemed match fit?
